Aqeel Karim Dhedhi is a very well known businessman and philanthropist of Pakistan. He is the Chairman of the AKD Group which has interests in the Financial Services, Real Estate,

Telecommunication, Technology, Infrastructure and Oil & Gas Sectors. Under his leadership the group has evolved to become one of the largest business groups in Pakistan  

He brings to the table more than thirty-five years of experience in leadership of mainstream

business operations and has been extremely influential in business origination for the AKD Group.

As one of the most prominent members of PSX, he has played a pivotal role in the development of the capital markets of the country.

During his career, Aqeel has served on the boards of various companies and not-for-profit organizations in Pakistan including PSX, Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital, The Indus Hospital, World Memon Organization, Karachi School of Business and Leadership and currently serves on the board of the following companies: AKD Capital Limited, Creek Developers (Private) Limited, NECL Building Management Limited, AKD REIT Management Company Limited and Oil & Gas

Investment Limited.

He has been awarded Honorary PHD degrees by Biztek Institute of Higher Education and Indus Institute of Higher Education. He has also been awarded “Sitara-e-Esaar” by the President of

Pakistan for his services during the devastating earthquake that hit the northern areas of Pakistan
